Mayuri Lochan, après avoir terminé ses études à St. Helen's, dans les collines de Darjeeling, parti aux USA pour finir sa thèse. Puis elle a fini ses études de management en Norvège.

Aujourd'hui mariée avec Torgeir Sundgot et installée à Oslo, elle est profondément engagée dans le développement de son pays natal et s'investit pour donner à tous un accès à l'éducation primaire.

Les Sundgot sont activement engagés dans la fondation.

Ils pensent au projet d'ouvrir un établissement de charité dans Siliguri prenant en charge des jeunes jeunes filles de 10 a 15 ans défavoriser. Ils veulent y integrer des filles jeunes et leur donner un toit au-dessus de leurs têtes, leurs enseigner d'autres nécessités comme la nourriture et d'habillement, et leur fournir une éducation de base. Le concept doit obtenir des personnes et des entreprises de Norvège pour commanditer un enfant et donner les paiements mensuels du kroner 200-400 qui iront à l'administration et aux besoins des enfants. Le concept inclurait un docteur qui viendrait régulièrement verifier la santé de ces jeunes filles, ainsi qu'un professeur pour les instruir sur la lecture et l'écriture. Pendant la croissance de ces jeunes filles le projet pourrait évoluer en même temps et inclure plus de professeurs en collaboration avec les écoles locales pour leur éducation.

They are thinking about starting a charity institution in Siliguri where they take in 10 - 15 young girls who are struggling in life. They want to take in girls who are quite young and give them a roof over their heads, other necessities like food and clothing, and start them off on basic education. The concept is to get people and businesses from Norway to sponsor a child or give monthly payments of 200-400 kroner which will go to administration and the needs of the children. They would also have a doctor who comes in regularly and checks on the medical condition of the girls, as well as a teacher who can start them off on reading and writing. As the girls grow up the project can evolve at the same time to either include more teachers or make deals with local schools for their education.

The location will be Siliguri, where they will set up a house. There will be enough space for some vegetable growing and towards the street there will be a shop which will either be rented out or it will be used by the institution itself. The land will not be too far away from the city because then it runs the risk of robberies if it is in some out of way place without any neighbours.
